Lacrosse Season:
2011

Why no inter-state play between CA/CO and TX/AZ?

I'm always seeing scores of games from top California teams playing in Colorado and vice versa, but I don't recall any Arizona or Texas teams traveling to either Colorado or California to test their metal (or vice versa for that matter).  Why is that so?  I mean, I see 3 Texas Teams in the top 10, but have no basis from which to say, that each of those teams could clearly beat a Carondelet or an Air Academy.  What's the barrier here?

Lacrosse is a state-sponsored

Lacrosse is a state-sponsored varsity sport in California and Colorado. Not so in Arizona or Texas

shreve could have been a huge

shreve could have been a huge threat this season our players just didnt care and we didnt play as a team we won only when we wanted to for example the byrd game we were all so pumped for the byrd game and we went out and played a great game but for every other game of the season it was almost set that no one started playing til we were losing i didnt understand the lack of effort and hustle this year (exception to few players) but... testkings | ccie | ccna | ccnp | ccvp | a+ certification | mcp | pmp

ADDITIONALLY

That's correct that lax is not a state-sponsored sport at the public school level in Texas, so the teams would have to raise their own funds to travel, usually. The Texas private schools have lax as a part of their athletic departments and do travel, or host teams, generally from the east. St. Stephens & St. Agnes (defending private school champ from Virginia) toured Dallas and Houston in March, as did Agnes Irwin School from Philly area (they only went to Houston). Episcopal Houston went to Maryland and St. John's went to Florida this year. ESD went to Florida in 2010. Also, the Texas schools start sooner than the western teams and by the time that the western teams' seasons get going, the Texas teams are already into their district or zone play.
