Lacrosse Season:
2011

ESPN Rise top 50
ESPN has Poway in the top 50. LOL, ESPN must have been bought by Comedy Central.
UTAH LACROSSE..
Thats sick Alta's up there. They definitely deserve it.
CA Fans
Typical California fans. Can you get off the Arapahoe 4 game stint until a CA team comes to CO and plays 4 of our top 10 in 4 days? Any body with half a brain understands this, but some of the CA fans hate on any other western state that plays lax. CO teams have only one goal, that is to win the state championship. Playing against great teams in CA over spring break is part of that.
Dude, they went 0-4.
Dude, they went 0-4.
Look at CA teams Schedules
You will see that most of the top team in San Diego Section all travel on the March or April breaks to play other top teams. So your argument doesn't stand. And if given a choice in those months to travel for UT or CO teams, southern california is a nice place to come play.
Colorado is OVERRATED
Not really sure how you can rank Regis Jesuit so high... they only beat brophy prep by 1 goal in overtime. Meanwhile brophy prep got destroyed by St. Ignatius, and lost to bellarmine prep by 3 and bellarmine is not on the same level as the top CA teams such as Coronado and De La Salle. Give some CA teams some love, CO is having a down year. Also look at Arapahoe. They are 8-5 with 4 of their losses coming against CA teams... They lost to Coronado by 8 but against Cherry Creek, supposedly the best team in the west, they lost by 3. I think I have an argument here...
Poway
I really think you guys should give Poway more respect. They beat Torrey. Yes they play a weaker schedule but so did Corona Del Mar last year and they recieved high praise all season. The parity this season does stress the improtance of the strenghth of schedule, Is that why the Poway guys are overlooked? San Diego Section must give you guys the fits.
Poway will lose again to RB
Poway already lost to RB, and will lose again on May 11th. Poway has no business being even on this list, this year. The schedule for Poway is mediocre at best.
ha
now you just look dumb saying this. poway all the way to the finals
Oregon Episcopal
I'm surprised to see that the new #1 team in Oregon has not earned a spot in the most recent top 25. Coming off a dominating 10-3 effort against a well respected Mercer team (16th in the rankings), I expected to see them in there. After two tough close losses in the NWI to top 25 teams Issy and Bainbridge (especially the epic game against BI), I think OES shook off the rust that comes naturally in the first couple games of the season to show what they are truly capable of against Mercer. I hope to see them in there next week! Good luck to all this season. Love lax!
OES in top 25
Welcome! OES is a great team, we enjoyed shooting their games at NWI the other week...also, we were impressed to see an Oregon team wearing the TL17 stickers in memory of Tyler Lucas. Here's a shot of Trevor Gardner scoring on a sick behind-the-back shot in the game against BI.

Brophy Prep
I was very impressed with Brophy's(AZ)#17 effort this weekend taking Regis Jesuit(CO)#4 into Overtime. I hope that they move up in the rankings this week as Regis Jesuit is a high-powered program.
Really
You really think a team will move up after losing?
I am just saying that look
I am just saying that look Brophy was not expected to be in that game against a very strong Colorado team. The fact that they were up for a majority of the game shows that they can play. I am not saying they should move up but most of the teams on the Top 25 have losses and some of them were losses to lower ranked teams.
West Coast MIAA?

Let's see. Saint Ignatius defeated Coronado just last season, so one leg of your argument is specious. Secondly, your argument that Arapahoe is "reconsidering their road trips" is not dispositive to your argument. Finally, though De La Salle lost to Coronado, they defeated Foothill OC, who turned right around and defeated La Costa Canyon. In conclusion, lacrosse is very good in San Diego but, at least for one person, logic skills are not. Keep trying.
Bravo
Good points
Bold?
Why are some teams highlighted in bold/larger font? Did they do something amazing this weekend?

try playing an away game
Its funny how the out of state/ norcal vs socal games against san diego teams are always in san diego... maybe once you go to someone else's place and beat them there you can make that dumb claim. Most highschool teams are not used to traveling lost distances, it makes a difference
Its based on Spring Break ....
Most of the SOCAL teams have trips back east planned - if you can only take one trip - do you go to the bay area or Maryland (Coronado) or New York/CT (La Costa Canyon. Torrey Pines is headed up North - you can check LaxPower to see the schedules.
Can someone tell me how one
Can someone tell me how one team beats another team by 5 goals and is ranked 6 places lower the next week? Makes me wonder if this is worth looking at!
Also, I miss the comments by your staff, at least then I got a few laughs even if the rankings are miss leading!
shreve could have been a huge
shreve could have been a huge threat this season our players just didnt care and we didnt play as a team we won only when we wanted to for example the byrd game we were all so pumped for the byrd game and we went out and played a great game but for every other game of the season it was almost set that no one started playing til we were losing i didnt understand the lack of effort and hustle this year (exception to few players) but... 70-642 | 640-816 | N10-004 | 220-701 | 70-649 | CISSP | 646-205 | SY0-201
