UT HS: Sky View Head Coach Jonathan Atwood Resigns

June 4th, 2010

FROM PRESS RELEASES

Jonathan Atwood has stepped down as head coach at Sky View High School after nine seasons with the program, the team has announced in a news release.

Atwood, a co-founder of the program, began coaching at Sky View in 2002. In 2007, he was named U.S. Lacrosse Coach of the Year, and in 2006 he was named Utah Coach of the year.

Atwood has led Sky View to three conference championships and one Division II state final appearance. He has an all-time record of 61-47 and is 32-11 in his last three seasons.

“This is not an easy decision to make,” Atwood said. “I love the players, I love coaching and I love Sky View, but I need to pursue other interests at this time.”
