SoCAL GIRLS: Kacie Lewis Commits to Connecticut

Granite Hills senior middie Kacie Lewis has verbally committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Connecticut.

When she heads to New England in the fall, Lewis will become the first female lacrosse player in Granite Hills history to play lacrosse at the NCAA Division I level. Lewis is one of eight female seniors in San Diego County that will be moving on to play Division I lacrosse.

Lewis did not sign a national letter of intent and is classified as a "recruited walk-on" athlete, Connecticut head coach Angela McMahon said.
