Wayzata senior middie Kevin Knight has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Fairfield University.

Knight said he chose Fairfield over Virginia Military Institute, UMBC and Colgate.

“For me, I felt like it was the best fit,” Knight said. “When I got out there, the team seemed like a big family to me and it seemed like somewhere I could definitely see myself.”

Knight added that he is pumped to take his game to the East Coast.

“I’m definitely excited to see how I stack up with these guys,” he said. “I’m pretty sure that working with the coaching staff out there will put me in a good position.”
