NorCAL BOYS: Will Fredericks Signs With Loyola (Md.)
November 27th, 2008
St. Ignatius Prep senior Will Fredericks has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Loyola (Md.) College.
Fredericks, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound attackman, is Loyola’s first-ever California recruit. Fredericks scored 33 goals as a junior to help lead the Wildcats to a 19-1 record and WSL’s No. 1 California ranking for the second straight season.
St. Ignatius finished the 2008 season ranked No. 2 in the West by WSL and No. 17 in the nation by Inside Lacrosse.
Fredericks is one of seven players to commit to the Greyhounds during the early-signing period.
“Will is also another offensive player with tremendous size,” Loyola head coach Charley Toomey said in a news release. “He can be a force bullying his way to the goal, but his best talent is his ability to shoot the ball with power and accuracy.”
