COL GIRLS: McKenzie Brown Signs With Notre Dame

Cherry Creek senior McKenzie Brown has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame.
Brown, a 5-foot-10 middie, was named WSL Colorado Girls Player of the Year in 2008 after she led the Bruins to their fourth straight Colorado state title. Brown was also named Player of the Year by the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News.
In 2008, Brown scored 64 goals to lead the Bruins.
“McKenzie is tall and athletic, with plenty of championship-game experience,” Notre Dame head coach Tracy Coyne said in a news release. “She has been instrumental in her high school team winning four state titles. She knows what it takes to win. She understands the work ethic and the mental edge necessary to be a winner.”
