COL GIRLS: Ali Ellickson Signs With UC Berkeley

Cherry Creek senior middie Ali Ellickson has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at UC Berkeley.
Ellickson helped lead the Bruins to their fourth consecutive Colorado High School Activities Association state championship last season. A native of Centennial, Colo., she also was recently named All-Colorado in field hockey by the Rocky Mountain News.
Ellickson is one of 12 players to sign with UC Berkeley during the early-signing period, and she is the school’s only recruit from Colorado so far this year. However, upon her arrival, Ellickson will be joining recent Cherry Creek alums Lauren Johnson and Allie Welsh.
“Ellickson’s strength, speed and footwork will help deepen Cal’s defensive midfield,” the school said in a news release.
