NorCAL GIRLS: Ana Cyr Signs With UC Berkeley

Granada senior middie Ana Cyr has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at UC Berkeley.

Cyr, a Livermore native, will need to travel just 40 miles to get to campus next fall. Of the 12 players the Golden Bears inked during the early-singing period, Cyr is the only one from Northern California.

Last season, Cyr was the driving force behind Granada’s best season in school history. Cyr led Granada to its first CIF-North Coast Section playoff appearance and its first postseason victory. Granada advanced to the section quarterfinals.

“Cyr brings tremendous speed and determination to Cal’s lineup,” the school said in a news release. “She will be a presence in the midfield as a ball-carrier in transition and also in her dominance on the re-defend.”
