SoCAL BOYS: Brendan Yount Commits to Bellarmine

November 26th, 2008

J-Serra Catholic senior long-stick middie/defenseman Brendan Yount has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Bellarmine University.

Yount chose Bellarmine over Robert Morris and Salisbury, because he felt the Louisville, Ky., school was the best fit.

“Coach (Jack) McGetrick and Coach (Bart) Sullivan are great coaches, and Bellarmine has an excellent team now,” Yount said. “I just want to contribute and be a part of something special. Coach Sullivan brings an aggressive style of defense from Denver, and he has worked with me at various camps in the past.

“He will take my game to a new level. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to play against some of the best teams in the country.”
