Meridian High School has named Alan Morgan as the new head coach of its boys varsity lacrosse team.

Morgan, 22, takes over for Ken Williams, who led the Warriors to a 2-10 season last year.

A Boise native, Morgan graduated from Borah High School, where he played attack for three seasons. He went on to coach boys youth lacrosse for two years. Last year, Morgan was the head JV coach at Meridian, and this will be his first varsity head coaching job.

"This will be a rebuilding year," Morgan said. "We have a lot of new players, and we are trying to get some excitement for lacrosse going at our school."
