MINN HS: Roseville Promotes Jeff Kohoutek
February 15th, 2008
Roseville High School has named alum Jeff Kohoutek as the new head coach of its boys varsity lacrosse team.
Kohoutek, 27, replaces Dave Freeburg, who led Roseville to a 7-7 record last season.
A Roseville native and 1999 graduate of Roseville High School, Kohoutek said he played three seasons of college club lacrosse as a defenseman at Minnesota-Mankato from 2001 to 2003.
Kohoutek coached the freshman/sophomore team at Roseville in 2005, the JV in 2006 and he was a varsity assistant in 2007. This will be his first varsity head coaching job.
"I'm really excited about it," he said. "We've got a good bunch of young guys coming up."
