NEV BOYS: Madison Fiore Commits to Maryland
August 25th, 2007
Faith Lutheran senior attackman Madison Fiore has verbally committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Maryland.
Fiore, who has led the Crusaders in scoring the last two seasons, chose Maryland over Yale and Lafayette.
"He chose Maryland for the opportunity to play for a national championship," Faith Lutheran Coach Rich Fiore said. "It seemed like a great fit."
When he takes the field for the Terps, Madison Fiore will become the first lacrosse player from the state of Nevada to play college lacrosse at the NCAA Division I level. As a junior, Madison Fiore registered 79 points on 41 goals and 38 assists. As a sophomore, he had 81 points on 39 goals and 42 assists.
"I think that Madison will be the first of many in the Las Vegas League that will be able to participate in Division I lacrosse," Rich Fiore said.
