Senior middie Ryan Self scored a goal and added four assists to lead unbeaten Parkway South to an 11-7 victory over previously-unbeaten Blue Valley West in a Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association non-league game Saturday.
Senior attackman Amer Mulaosmanovic dished three assists, senior attackman Luke Stevenson scored twice and junior middie Anthony Sinacore added two goals for Parkway South (4-0), which won its fourth straight.
Blue Valley West (3-1) had its three-game winning streak snapped.
The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the first quarter and 4-4 at halftime, but Parkway South broke it open with a six-goal third quarter to hand Blue Valley West its first loss of the season. Parkway South led 10-5 going into the final 12 minutes.
"I'm feeling confident," Parkway South Coach Jeff Stepp said. "We're working out the kinks, and I'm just excited to see how we play against some of the top teams in the state. Defense stepped it up today, and the offense found a hole in the defense. That's all I could ask."
