KAN-MO BOYS: Unbeaten Fox Downs Winless Shawnee Mission East

Senior attackman Michael Riva registered a game-high five points on two goals and three assists to lead unbeaten Fox to a 9-3 victory over Shawnee Mission East in a Missouri Scholastic Lacrosse Association non-league game Saturday.
Junior attackman David Justvig scored three goals, senior attackman Brandon Hamm added a goal and an assist and senior middie Mark Scholtes dished two assists to help lead Fox (4-0) to its fourth straight win.
Shawnee Mission East (0-4) lost its fourth straight.
Shawnee Mission East hung tough for about a half before Fox put it away Saturday. Fox led 4-1 at the end of the first quarter, 5-2 at halftime and 8-3 going into the fourth quarter.
"We're definitely starting to get together as a team," Fox Coach Jeff Spink said. "Our defense made a few mistakes, but for the most part they were strong throughout the game. Offensively, we're starting to click together."
