MEN: Lindenwood Routs Kansas To Win 4th Straight
March 11th, 2007
Senior middie Jim Lange scored four goals and added an assist to lead Lindenwood to a 13-3 victory over Kansas in a Great Rivers Lacrosse Conference game Sunday afternoon.
Senior middie Adam Pfleegor and junior attackman Dan Wyatt each added two goals to help lead Lindenwood (7-3) to its fourth straight victory and fourth win of the week. Senior attackman Zach Pashea added a goal and an assist, as Lindenwood beat Missouri State, Auburn, Illinois and Kansas this week.
In a losing effort, freshman attackman Brent Sear scored twice for the Jayhawks.
On Sunday, Lindenwood controlled the game from the start. Lindenwood led 4-0 at the end of the first quarter, 6-1 at halftime and 7-3 going into the fourth quarter.
"The win against Illinois was huge. That's where I think we played our best," Lindenwood Coach Troy Hood said. "Our defense has been stellar. We just have to step it up on the offensive end. We could be scoring a lot more than we do."
