MINN HS: Hopkins Boys Hire Chris Donaldson
February 9th, 2007
Hopkins High School has named Chris Donaldson as the new head coach of its boys varsity lacrosse team, team spokesman Mark Hellenack said.
Donaldson replaces Dave McGee, who led Hopkins to a 10-6 record last season.
A graduate of Edina High School, Donaldson played college club lacrosse at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
Last season, Donaldson was the middle school coach and an assistant JV coach at Hopkins, Hellenack said. Donaldson also has been an assistant coach with the under-15, Minnesota Chill club team for the last three years, Hellenack said.
"It's good because Chris is enthusiastic, he works well with young people and he's athletic, so he can run with the kids," Hellenack said. "He's got more enthusiasm than anybody we've had in the past."
