Curtis
Coach: John McGoldrick
2005 Record: 8-3-2
Three Players To Watch: Jordann Clanton (Middie), Erin Wegner (Attack), Alexis Henderson (Goalie)
The Skinny: Curtis lost just four players from its 2005 squad to graduation and this year should be one of the better teams in Varsity B.
Eight of the 2005 team's starters return for coach John McGoldrick's fourth season at the helm. Junior center Jordann Clanton, senior attack Erin Wegner and sophomore goalie Alexis Henderson are the team's top three contributors.
"We'll do well; probably finish in the top half of the B League" McGoldrick said. "Overall, the girls work well together. We don't have any superstars, it's more of a team effort."
Eastside Catholic

2005 Record: 7-5-1
The Skinny: Sean Collins takes over the program after leading Snohomish to the Varsity B title last season.

Mercer Island
Coach: Craig Van Der Horn
2005 Record: 4-8-1
The Skinny: Coach Craig Van Der Horn said he never really knows what he will have to work with until three days into tryouts, when Mercer Island begins to split into Varsity A, Varsity B and junior varsity teams.
Van Der Horn did say he expects to have a core of about 10 players from last season coming back to the B team again.
"We've got a lot of young, strong players that are going to be competing for Varsity A positions," Van Der Horn said. "It's always a try-out situation. I get the people who are between A and JV. It's always an open competition."
