Day 1 Adrenaline Challenge
January 8th, 2012
Adrenaline Challenge Day 1 A cold and foggy Saturday morning made way for heat, sun and the start of the 2012 Adrenaline Challenge in Del Mar, California, featuring 120 teams competing in 7 divisions for weekend bragging rights. Players from High School seniors all the way down to Junior High School boys arrived to the fields ready for some good lax and great competition in the largest event Adrenaline has ever hosted.
The morning started off cold for RC Silver Elite, but Matt Emery and Fog City were warm and ready to play. Whistles blew and the 2012 Adrenaline Challenge was underway. Fog City started strong by handing the RC squad the first loss of the Tournament 7-4. Fog City went on, playing to an 8-goal tie in their second game against ADRLN Select Elite Team, then beating out ATX Laxbats Elite, 9-7.
Another great advantage to playing in this tournament is the college scouts. Recruiters from Duke, Norte Dame, Indiana, Michigan and Chapman, to name a few, were on hand to witness the games as the talent pool on the West Coast continues to deepen every game and every event. More tomorrow with some video coming some, courtesy of Game Time Footage. Enjoy the pics below and see more at the WSL Facebook page. Lax on, ya’ll.
