WASH BOYS: Wisman Brothers Lead Northshore Past Skyline
March 13th, 2010
Team Wisman was nearly unstoppable Friday night.
Senior middie Taylor Wisman and junior middie Foster Wisman combined to score 12 goals to lead Northshore to a 13-10 victory over Skyline in a Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association Division I game.
Taylor Wisman registered a game-high nine points on eight goals and one assist, and Foster Wisman had six points on four goals and two assists, as Northshore (1-0) won its season opener.
Senior attackman Scott Barclay also scored a goal to round out the offense and prove there were more than two players on Northshore’s side of the field.
Skyline (0-1) dropped its season opener.
Although Foster Wisman was good Friday, Taylor Wisman was great. Skyline could do absolutely nothing to stop him.
“He’s the Energizer Bunny,” Northshore head coach Steve Wisman said. “He’s bouncing off of kids, he’s everywhere. They tried to lock him off. They tried to lock off Foster. They tried a lot of things, and nothing seemed to work.”
Northshore led 4-3 at the end of the first quarter, 9-6 at halftime and 10-8 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Northshore never led by fewer than two goals.
“Offensively, I was a little disappointed,” Steve Wisman conceded. “I expected more things to happen from other people. Defensively, I think we played better than in years past.”
