West Side Lacrosse - About Us
WSL's mission since coming online Dec. 15, 2005 has been to revolutionize the way lacrosse gets covered west of the Mississippi River.
Contrary to popular opinion, lacrosse is extremely popular throughout the Western United States. However, until recently, the region did not have a voice for two reasons. First, the local mainstream media doesn't understand the sport. Second, the East Coast-based lacrosse media tends to ignore much of what takes place outside its traditional base. WSL has filled the void to provide that voice for high school, college and professional lacrosse.
In 2006, WSL started by covering lacrosse in six states: California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Idaho. In 2007, WSL expanded its geographical reach and now covers all lacrosse from the Pacific to the Mississippi, including Alaska and Hawaii.
