WASH GIRLS: Victoria Maxon Commits to Lafayette

Holy Names Academy senior middie-defender Victoria Maxon has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Lafayette College.

Maxon, a starter at Holy Names since her freshman season, was named the team’s most valuable player and was a first-team, All-State selection last season. Outside of the high school season, she has participated on numerous prestigious club teams, including the Seattle Rainz, Puget Sound Select and X-Team.

“Her dedication and desire to be a well-rounded and successful student-athlete at the Division I level fits the Lafayette mold perfectly,” Lafayette Coach Alison Fisher said in a news release. “We expect her to have an immediate impact on both our women’s lacrosse program and the Lafayette community.”

Maxon said she chose Lafayette because she believes it’s a good fit for her college experience.

“I choose Lafayette after completing my official visit, because I felt I would be able to balance my academic load, play at the D1 level and participate in a sorority,” Maxon said in a news release. “Lafayette offered me the full package.”
