Defensively, sophomore goalie Taylor Mark saved seven shots to post his first career shutout.
Wichita (0-1), which brought just 13 players to the game, lost its season opener.
Tulsa started strong and kept the pressure on throughout. The Bulldogs led 6-0 at the end of the first quarter, 10-0 at halftime and 13-0 at the end of the third quarter.
“I think we played real well,” Tulsa head coach Dustin Booth said. “We did really well in transition. Wichita was missing a lot of guys. They’re a good team, and unfortunately traveling around here is a challenge.”
