Bingham High School has named Todd Heaton as the new head coach of the school’s boys varsity lacrosse team.

Heaton replaces Brian Morris, who led Bingham to a 10-8 record and No. 6 Utah ranking in 2009. Morris stepped down in the offseason to pursue a law degree.

A former All-State face-off specialist, Heaton helped lead Bingham to a state championship in 1999. Heaton played at the MCLA level at Brigham Young University, and he has coached at Riverton, West and Skyline.
