“I’m excited about it,” Strake Jesuit head coach Mike Block said. “It’s a good challenge. Our guys are excited and ready.”
On Saturday, junior middie Patrick Martin, senior attackman Wesley Murray and senior attackman Blake Ofield all scored twice for Strake Jesuit. Junior middie Jeff Sanders had a goal and an assist, and three players scored once.
Anderson finished its season 9-6.
Strake Jesuit played one of its best games of the season. The Crusaders rolled to an 8-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and were ahead 15-3 at halftime. Strake Jesuit led 16-7 at the end of the third quarter.
“That’s what we’ve been waiting for all year,” Block said. “Today, you could see our guys just smelled blood and kept going.”
