MO BOYS: Steven Kurth Signs With Wheeling Jesuit University
December 22nd, 2009
Parkway West senior Steven Kurth has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Kurth, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound defenseman, was a second-team, All-Conference selection as a junior and he has been named team captain for senior year, according to a Wheeling Jesuit school news release.
Kurth is the sixth senior from Missouri to commit to play NCAA-sanctioned lacrosse so far this offseason.
“Steven is a great kid who will have to fight for starting time with a fairly young group of defensemen,” Wheeling Jesuit head coach Jay Sothoron said in a news release. “He has great size and agility, making him hard to beat. He has the ability to make an impact early in his career.”
