AC: SD LaxDawgs Rout Arizona Purple to Stay Unbeaten, 12-4

SAN DIEGO -- Senior attackman Dillon Bernad scored a game-high three goals to lead unbeaten San Diego LaxDawgs Brown to a 12-4 victory over Arizona Burn Purple in an Adrenaline Challenge Adrenaline Elite Group 3 game Saturday afternoon.
Junior attackman Christian Ballow and senior middie Nico Meyer each scored twice, and junior attackman Matt Ohara finished with two points on a goal and an assist for the LaxDawgs (3-0), who won their third straight and ensured themselves a spot in Sunday’s quarterfinals.
In a losing effort, junior attackman Andrew Fennessy scored twice, junior middie Will Duval and junior middie Freddie Martori each scored once and junior middie Ben Gassman added an assist for Arizona (0-3), which lost its third straight.
San Diego scored the game’s first four goals before Arizona responded with its first with 4:35 to play in the first half to make it a 4-1 game.
The LaxDawgs opened the second half with five unanswered goals to extend their lead to 9-1 and put it away.
San Diego outshot Arizona 24-17 and won 13-of-17 face-offs.
