Second that

Instead of slamming some kid, you should have given praise to the kids on that team that played within the system despite the talent just being told to hesitate. Tough times for RB this year. Saw them twice..... so many shooters, only one given the gun. Can't fault the players for the politics, just the coaches who lobby and vote. That program needs coaches not All Americans.

Bokmeyer?

Are you really going to tell me that Bokmeyer is one of the best attackman in San Diego? He totally killed his team this year. RB will be a legit contender next year, just because of the fact that he's gone. It really makes you question the legitimacy/politicking behind the picks.

I think its a testament to the strength of the north county conference when the 3rd team goalie ends up being an all-american.

But seriously. Bokmeyer? I guess all those no look passes forced to the crease and those 18 yard shots that sail over the cage are all-american material.

sdlacrosse- what is your problem?

Wow, sdlacrosse, I’ll go even further than the last poster did. Why would you post your message about Bokmeyer- isn’t he already gone from your program? You obviously have an emotional connection with the Rancho Bernardo program and this certainly isn’t the place to hammer a high school aged player because your son (if you are a parent) or you (if you are a player) isn’t getting the playing time or publicity you think you should get. Since I have not seen Rancho Bernardo play, I ‘Googled’ Bokmeyer and found a couple things. The North County Times Website shows him with 26 assists this year, which looks like it was 2nd in the stats they had for the North County- but you said that he didn’t help his team. That just doesn’t make sense.    The other thing that I found was that on Westside Lax there was an article about him committing to play at Army. Since I don’t know Bokmeyer and I don’t know you, I will defer to the D1 coaching staff that obviously has evaluated his talent. My humble suggestion to you, sdlacrosse, is that if you are a parent, get a life outside of your son’s lacrosse career and if you are a player, work harder.

Why attack a young man in high school?

I have never posted here before but I can’t let this attack on a high school student go unchallenged. I don’t really know the young man you reference in your comment, but I have seen him play against my son’s team the last two years and I also saw one other game Rancho Bernardo played this year. I know he was the focus of our defense in our game and he looks to be a very unselfish player.  I don’t know him or the RB program well enough to debate the points of your post, but if you really feel that you need to attack a high school player like this, then you should be man enough to put your real name on your post. Otherwise this sounds a lot like an attack by an unhappy RB parent or a bench player.
