WASH BOYS: Sam Snow Commits to Fairfield

Bainbridge Island senior attackman Sam Snow has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Fairfield University.
Snow said he also considered Lehigh, Ohio State and Vermont but went with Fairfield because he felt the coaching staff there was more enthusiastic about bringing him in.
“Coach (Andy) Copeland was one of the first people to try to recruit me, and he stuck with it and committed to me,” Snow said. “That’s something I like to see in a coach.”
Snow is ranked No. 6 in the WSL Elite 25 boys players rankings. He said Copeland first noticed him when he went to Champ Camp on the East Coast.
Snow, who is the second Washington boys player to commit to a Division I program this year, added that he is pumped to play lacrosse at a higher level.
“I think it’s going to be a lot of fun,” Snow said. “It’s going to be nice to see everyone on the field with talent. I’m really excited to get there and have everybody on the field have the ability to make big plays.”
