LOU BOYS: Ryan King Commits to C.W. Post in New York
April 29th, 2010
Captain Shreve senior long-stick middie Ryan King has committed to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at C.W. Post.
King said he also considered Southwestern, Carthage, Indiana Tech, Savannah College of Art & Design and Ithaca before settling on the Brookeville, N.Y.-based school. King said he would be getting a partial athletic and a partial academic scholarship.
“I chose Post because when I visited it, I felt really comfortable,” King said. “They were the first one to offer me a scholarship, and they were Division II national champions. So I thought I would take advantage of a good opportunity.”
King said he believes he is ready to take his game to the next level.
“I think I’ll do just fine,” King said. “When I went to these showcases, I stepped my game up and definitely played better. When I went to visit (C.W. Post), they were very good. But I think I can hang with them.”
