WASH BOYS: Ross Cobb Commits to Carthage College

Bainbridge Island senior middie Ross Cobb has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Carthage College.

Cobb, who helped lead the Spartans to a state semifinal finish this past season, also plans to play college football at the Kenosha, Wis.-based school, Carthage head lacrosse coach David Neff said.

“Pound for pound, Ross may be the best athlete we have recruited,” Neff said. “He averaged over 10 yards a carry in a 1,000-yard season of football and is known by his lacrosse teammates as ‘vamp’ because of his uncanny vertical.”
