SoCAL BOYS: Riley Lettington Signs With VMI

Woodbridge senior defenseman Riley Lettington has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the Virginia Military Institute.
Lettington said he also considered Hartford, Belmont Abbey and Cansius but chose VMI because he liked the disciplinary aspect of the school.
“I liked the structure because it’s military,” Lettington said. “I thought it would be the best place for me to succeed, and I thought their coaching staff was amazing.”
Lettington added that he is a little nervous about making the transition, but he expects to do well.
“Hopefully, I’ll succeed,” he said. “I don’t know for sure, but as long as I work hard and impress the coaches, I can play and be successful.”
