Portland State University has named Jon Ewertz as the new head coach of its men’s lacrosse team.

A native of Baltimore, Md., Ewertz played NCAA Division III lacrosse at Franklin & Marshall. He played high school lacrosse at St. Paul’s, where he later coached as a JV assistant.

Ewertz has coaching experience at high schools across the country, having been on the staffs at Houston Episcopal and Ransom Everglades in Coconut Grove, Fla.
