COL HS: Ponderosa Names David Zazzaro New Head Coach
November 23rd, 2009
Ponderosa High School has named David Zazzaro as the new head coach of the school’s boys varsity lacrosse team.
Zazzaro, 40, played three seasons of NCAA Division III lacrosse as a middie at Drew University from 1988 to 1991, and he coached eight seasons at Colorado College, from 2002 to 2009.
Zazzaro takes over for Lance Meurer, who led the Mustangs to an 11-5 record and a playoff appearance last season.
“Our goal is to build on the past successes of previous teams and potentially go a little deeper in the postseason,” Zazzaro said. “We’re hoping to develop kids to play in college, and we want kids to have fun. I think it’s an exciting time for Ponderosa. There seems to be a lot of lacrosse enthusiasts there, and I’m pretty excited about that.”

Congrats to Zazzaro
Coach Zazzaro,
Congrats and good luck with your new team!
