Senior attack Erin McGillivray scored twice, senior middie Rekha Murali scored once and sophomore defender Dani Ramirez had a goal to round out the offense for Amador Valley (3-0), which won its third straight to start the season.
In defeat, junior middie Elizabeth Landry scored a team-high three goals for Acalanes, which fell to 1-4 but has played an extremely difficult schedule to start the year.
Amador Valley did most of its damage in the first half, racing to an 8-3 lead after 25 minutes. The victors were not seriously threatened in the second half.
“It certainly was not our best game,” Amador Valley head coach Beth Braun said. “We made a lot of errors, but a win is a win.”
