“It’ll be a battle,” Cherry Creek head coach Cayel Dwyer said. “I think we’ve been tested all season, so we’re ready.”
On Thursday, junior attack Bailey Zerr and sophomore middie Anya Gersoff each added four points on three goals and an assist, and junior middies Kiki Boone and SarahGray Erickson both scored once to round out the Cherry Creek offense.
In a losing effort, five players scored single goals for eighth-seeded Mullen, which finished the season 9-7.
Cherry Creek rolled to an 11-2 halftime lead before cruising to the finish over the final 25 minutes.
“It was one of our most complete games,” Dwyer said. “The defense played well, the midfield played well and the attack played well.”
