April 11th, 2010
Junior attackman Mac Bulloch registered a game-high four points on two goals and two assists to lead unbeaten New Orleans Jesuit to a 9-3 victory over Baton Rouge Catholic in a Louisiana High School Lacrosse League game Sunday afternoon.
Junior attackman Bryan Kitto, junior attackman Andrew Silvera and senior middie Kaleb Boudreaux all added a pair of goals to help the Blue Jays (9-0) win their ninth straight. Senior middie Michael Grace had a goal to round out the offense.
In the cage, junior goalie Stephen Baay saved 10 shots.
In defeat, Jake Guba scored twice for Baton Rouge Catholic, which fell to 5-3.
The Blue Jays led 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, 6-3 at halftime and 7-3 at the end of the third quarter despite playing without standout senior Louis LaCour, who was in Pennsylvania on a recruiting trip.
“We played really hard against good competition,” New Orleans Jesuit head coach Mike Brantley said. “The score doesn’t reflect the intensity of the game.”
