Wow that's a good joke, now that is humorous. So what Burke, you beat Papio. I guarantee that they would of railed you guys in 08. But, thats not important here. I agree with pllax, expect it to be between Prep and Millard West, agian. Tell me another school that has one a state championship. None. Prep returns Dieneen, Feldman, and some other poles. They should have a strong D with Feldman in net. Although they did lose a lot on the offensive side, losing Jurgerson and their whole starting attack. Millard West is going to struggle on the defensive side, only returning a starting LSM. But they do return 2 of 3 top goal scorers for West and attackmen in Carl, and Connor (Both where in the top five of scoring). And only lost 2 midfielders, with the addition of adding a key middie. Look for Millard West and Prep in the finals again. Not Burke.

Prep will still have a dominate D with #28 Marasco and #69 Thedinger. Our attack took the biggest hit. but we still have dineen, stoll, and salcedo.

ill say that only cause westside loses their goalie and most of their d... millard west will still be good but prep this year had a lot of good young guys like that number 28 d-pole marasco? i think and also feldman returning... along with dineen but their attack will hurt them just like this year

I think we will be a contender next year. Based on the number of seniors many of the Omaha teams lost and the number of underclassmen we started this year, I think we have a strong shot. Somewhere around 2/3 of our 1st and 2nd midfield units, our starting goalie, a good chunk of our attack, and 3 of our 4 core defenders will be back this season. I realize that we played JV this year, but we were undefeated in the league and even beat two varsity teams (Papio & Lincoln).
We plan to finish in the top three or four next year. At the very least we plan to give teams some tight games. Of course we hope to win it all...

i noticed millard south loses 17 seniors? ouch. prep doesn't lose too much next year, papio returns tlustos, west loses grewcock and myrhe which will hurt, westside comes back with a decent team next year and burke did well for their first year and they're all pretty young. thoughts?

Grewcock didn't get into a fight. The refs said he cocked back for a punch, and the Westside coaches convinced them (the refs) to throw him out of the game for "intent."
here's what happened.
grewcock didn't get into a fight because if he did, he would have gotten his lights knocked out. he got decked, then he jumped on the person who decked him in a way that would make it look like he wanted to scrap. He stopped, lucky for him, when he realized who he was messing with. Then he got thrown out of the game for trying to start a fight. It was the right call. However, it won't make that much of a difference in future games for millard west because grewcock is just as bad in goal as anybody else on their team would be.

If by decked, you mean slashed, and then tripped, then yes you are correct, but before you call him a terrible goalie, you should take a look at the scores of our games...seven in a row without allowing more than three goals. Plus our jv goalies let almost all of those in. You might also notice that we have beaten you seven times in a row. Enough of this internet smack, if you are gonna open your mouth, back it up on the field.

I really hope we get to play Westside again. Last time we played back to back games and still managed to beat them by 3 goals. Hopefully they get the 4 seed (since they managed to embarass themselves by losing to Papio...twice) and we get to stomp those fools by 10+ goals like we do every other team in this league.
Westside kids: keep talking, it only makes us work harder for next game.

Travis is legit. The best goalie in the state followed closely by Grewcock, Feldman and Branigan.
Papio seems to be improving though. It seems like they have been playing a lot better when their younger coach is there.

If you knew anything then you wouldnt talk. Its funny how you say that Travis can't clear because the only reason Papio gets the ball over mid field is because of Travis. Grewcocks clears are him running. Travis actually sits back and works his clear. The funny thing about that too is that all the kids on MW probably have better stick skills the most the kids on Papios team but yet Papio still reverses the field for a clear.
Also, you try to bring up 1 loss and goals allowed? How many games do you think that Grewcock has had 15+ saves? 1 vs. Prep? How many does Travis have? 5 or 6 atleast. Another thing too, Grewcock plays with a better defense in front of him which helps a lot. Travis has strait up willed Papio to wins making save after save.
I am not trying to put Grewcock down because he has been pretty solid this year but Travis is better. I have even heard Grewcock say that Travis is better then he is.
