NLL: Commissioner George Daniel Has Interim Tag Removed

The National Lacrosse League has announced that the Board of Governors has retained George Daniel as Commissioner.

Daniel had been serving as Interim Commissioner since his appointment on Jan. 10, 2009. Daniel and the Board reached an agreement that will extend through the 2011 season.

“I would like to thank the Board of Governors for their continued confidence and support,” Daniel said. “I look forward to the opportunity of leading an emerging and dynamic professional sports league like the NLL. I am very excited about the future of the NLL and the sport of lacrosse.”
