NorCAL GIRLS: Natalie Williford Signs With Davidson College

Menlo School senior middie Natalie Williford has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Davidson College.

Williford, who helped lead the Knights to the 2009 West Bay Athletic League title, is one of six players to sign with the North Carolina-based school. Williford is the only player of the six from the West.

As a junior, Williford scored 13 goals, added five assists and picked up 25 ground balls. Williford plays her club lacrosse with the Bay Area Wave team, and she is one of two Menlo seniors to sign with Division I programs. Teammate Maggie Brown will be heading to Georgetown in the fall.

“We are extremely excited to welcome these six student-athletes to the Wildcat lacrosse program,” Davidson head coach Kim Wayne said in a news release. “All six players bring a tremendous amount of talent, hustle, speed and heart to the team.”
