MEN: Mesa State College Picks Up 21 Commitments for 2011
Mesa State College won’t take the field until the spring of 2011, but the Mavericks are already tearing it up on the recruiting circuit.
The Grand Junction, Colo.-based NCAA Division II school has already gotten verbal commitments from 21 players, all of whom will enter school in the fall of 2010. Head coach A.J. Stevens will bring in players from all corners of the Western United States, as well as at least one East Coast player and a couple internationals.
Leading the list is WSL Elite 25 member Kody Klimes, a senior goalie at Chaparral in Arizona who is ranked No. 14 among seniors in the West. Other notable pick ups include Elite 25 honorable-mentionJoJo Milosevic from Las Vegas-based Palo Verde and WSL Kansas Player of the Year Trevor Ecton, who is a senior at state champion Olathe.
