SoCAL BOYS: Mackie Greason Commits to Colorado College
August 26th, 2010
Cate School senior attackman Mackie Greason has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Colorado College.
Greason said he also considered Trinity (N.H.) and Bates before settling on the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based school.
“I liked the location in Colorado Springs and I liked the idea of playing at altitude, because it gives you a conditioning advantage over your opponents,” said Greason, who added that he also liked the school’s unique block scheduling system in which students take one class at a time.
Greason, a three-sport varsity athlete, said he is fired up to take his lacrosse game to the next level.
“I’m really excited,” he said. “When I get to college, I’ll be able to focus only on lacrosse. It just seems like a great opportunity to become a better player and play the game that I love.”
