Heritage/Littleton senior middie Liz Datino has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at UC Davis.

Datino, an All-State and All-Continental Conference selection, played a key role in Heritage/Littleton’s surprise run to the Colorado state championship game last season.

“She’s a really smart player,” Heritage/Littleton head coach Nikki Kucharski said. “She’s aggressive, and she’s definitely a go-to player. She had a lot of last-minute goals in the playoffs and in the regular season.”

Kucharski said Datino has all the tools to make it at the Division I level.

“I think she’s ready for that challenge,” Kucharski said. “She picked a really good school that fits her well. Overall, academically and as an athlete, she’s going to do well there. She’s a very responsible kid.”
