ORE BOYS: Lincoln Senior Andrew Fish Signs With Albany
April 17th, 2009
Lincoln senior defenseman Andrew Fish has signed a national letter of intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Albany.
Fish said he also considered Chapman, Oregon, Oregon State, Hofstra and Tufts but decided to head to New York’s state capital after traveling to the East Coast.
“When I took a visit in February, I really liked it a lot,” Fish said. “I never really visited the East Coast before, and all the guys were really chill.”
Fish said he was impressed with the speed of the game at the Division I level and believes he can be molded into a top player, given the right direction.
“I just feel like I have a lot of ability to be coachable and learn everything,” Fish said. “I feel there’s no limit to how good I can be. I feel like if I go to a Division I university and get the coaching, the possibilities are endless.”
