ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- Attackman Blake Krowicki finished with a game-high four points on two goals and two assists to lead Las Vegas Starz A to a 9-3 victory over the Orange County Lacrosse Club on Friday night to advance to the Adrenaline Shootout quarterfinals.

In the decisive game to determine who would take second place and the final spot in the knockout phase out of Adrenaline Group 2, Las Vegas dominated possession and peppered the Orange County cage with shot after shot.

Middie Jet Harding and middie Joey Bustamante each scored twice, and attackman Kieran Eissler, attackman Mason Garrett and middie Harrison Krueger all had a goal for Las Vegas (4-1), which will play Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m., PDT.

In defeat, middie Joey Kimpler had a pair of goals, and middie Chas Harmon scored once for Orange County (3-2), which will go into the bracket for the third and fourth-placed teams. Orange County’s next game will be Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.

The game was tied, 1-1, with 10 minutes remaining in the first half when Las Vegas used a four-goal run to take command. Garrett and Krowicki sandwiched goals around a pair by Harding to put Las Vegas up 5-1 with 24 minutes remaining in regulation.

Orange County twice closed the gap to three, but Las Vegas finished a chilly evening by scoring the final three goals.

“Everybody was just on the cue,” Krowicki said. “Everyone was throwing it around, shooting and scoring, and defense was on the money.”
