NorCAL GIRLS: Kelly Lang Commits to Cornell
St. Ignatius Prep senior middie Kelly Lang has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Cornell University.
Lang, the younger sister of WSL California Boys Player of the Year Roy Lang, said she chose Cornell over UC Berkeley and Stanford. When she gets to Cornell next fall, Kelly Lang will be joining her brother, who is a freshman on Cornell’s men’s team.
“I have family on the East Coast, it’s a beautiful campus and I loved the coaches,” Kelly Lang said. “What I really like about Cornell is it’s like a family. Everyone looks out for each other.”
Kelly Lang said she is fired up to take her game to Ithaca, N.Y.
“I’m pumped,” she added. “I’m definitely ready. There’s some pressure being a West Coast girls going to the East Coast, but I’m ready to represent the West Coast….I’m just hoping my game gets better playing with better girls and great coaches. I have a lot of work to do, but I’m prepared.”
