La Costa Canyon girls varsity head coach Katie Dolan has stepped down after four wildly successful seasons at the school.

Dolan led the Mavericks to three straight CIF-San Diego Section championships, and she took La Costa Canyon to the title game all four years she was coach. The Mavericks lost in the final in 2006 and won titles in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Dolan compiled an overall record of 80-7, including a 15-1 mark in the playoffs. La Costa Canyon has won 12 straight playoff games over the past three seasons.

Under Dolan, the Mavericks also sent several players to NCAA Division I programs, the most recent being Jackie Candelaria, who is a freshman at Stanford.
