ORE BOYS: Jason Hodgson Commits to Robert Morris
January 28th, 2009
Southridge senior attackman Jason Hodgson has verbally committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Robert Morris University.
Hodgson was an Oregon High School Lacrosse Association first-team, All-State selection last season. He said he also considered Salisbury and the Virginia Military Institute but chose the Moon Township, Pa.-based school because he felt a connection to the team.
“When I visited, I liked the players, and I liked the coaches’ philosophy too,” Hodgson said. “I like the way they play the game there.”
Hodgson is just 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, but he said he’s ready to put in the work to become a successful Division I player.
“I’m pretty excited,” he said. “I think it’ll be a good experience. I need to get a little bigger, but it’ll be fun. I think I can do it.”
