COL BOYS: Jake Teague Commits to Western New England
November 4th, 2009
Cheyenne Mountain senior defenseman Jake Teague has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Western New England College.
Teague said he also considered Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Castleton State before settling on the Springfield, Mass.-based school.
“It’s a solid DIII program, and it’s a great school too,” Teague said. “They’re really competitive and Coach (John) Klepacki is a coach who I could really see myself playing for.”
Teague added that he is pumped to take on the challenge of the college game.
“I’m really excited,” he said. “I know it’s going to be a big transition, not just school, but the speed and pace of the play. When I went to visit and saw a practice, it was a lot faster. I’m hoping that I’ll do well. There are some great players out there.”
