There’s something about the new NCAA Division II program at Mesa State College that has people excited.

De La Salle senior defenseman Giuliano Sanchez is the latest player to commit to the Grand Junction, Colo.-based school, making him the 25^th player to join the fledgling program.

Mesa State head coach A.J. Stevens has picked up players from 10 states and two countries. Sanchez is the first player from the Northern California region to commit to Mesa State, which will begin its inaugural season in the spring of 2011.
